MISSION

UPGRADING NaSPUoN FOR 0G PEACE MISSION 2030

UPGRADING NaSPUoN FOR
0G PEACE MISSION 2030

  • A Space Trust initiative, the name of the mission is 0G Peace Mission 2030 [0G2030] in support of the work of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs [UNOOSA], toward Space2030 and the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Agenda.
  • 0G2030 will be carried aboard the PEACE SATELLITE PROJECT [PSP] Spacecraft, a 3U CubeSat.
  • The 3U CubeSat is the first earth orbiting satellite to be developed under the PSP which is a tripartide collaboration between the University of Arizona [UArizona] University of Nairobi [UNairobi] and Space Trust [ST].
  • Development of the PSP Spacecraft will enable space generation leaders from a developed country [US] and developing country [Kenya] to benefit globally from a STEM based capacity building educational programme.
  • The PSP Spacecraft will adopt the NaSPUoN platform from the UNairobi, which will be upgraded for the 0G2030 from a 1U bench model to a 3U space grade flight model.
  • The PSP goals and achievements will be disseminated via seminars and workshops globally, particularly, in developing countries.

GOALS

INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION
SPACE TRUST
INAUGURAL VIDEO MESSAGE - 2015

  • 0G2030 will inspire a joint approach for world leaders and civil society to promote world peace.
  • 0G2030 will galvanise our common humanity from space.
  • The secondary mission of 0G2030 will be student payloads—especially to benefit developing countries.
  • 0G2030 will promote global peace and international cooperation in support of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals [UN SDG] 16: Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions.
  • 0G2030 will utilize outer space for Innovative Space Diplomacy on Earth by injecting an innovative perspective in the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Agenda, in support of UN SDG Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
  • 0G2030 will encourage public-private partnerships in support of UN SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

LAUNCH

  • The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs [UNOOSA] and Avio S.p.A. have selected the 0G2030 team as the first awardee of a free launch via the Accessing Space with Vega C program to provide Access to Space for All. 0G2030 team will launch the 3U CubeSat at no cost on board the Vega C rocket.
  • 0G2030 will benefit UN member states and particularly, developing countries.
  • UArizona and UNairobi will mutually provide ground system support for the operation of 0G2030 and for UArizona CATSAT1—a 6U CubeSat.
